Sweden Crystal Design strives to always have the foremost artists and designers in the Kingdom of Crystal attached to our glassworks. Our aim is to produce the best art glass in Sweden and the world. To succeed, it requires the best in their fields - the best artists, designers, and masters.

In addition to these key people, our cutters have a central role to play in the work before a piece is finished.

In our company, artistic freedom, design, demand and creativity have been combined with the skills of the very best glassblowers in Glasriket and Sweden. The result is several different collections, innovative design language and design that is unique to Sweden Crystal Design. Here, crystal meets experimentation, the utmost craftsmanship and design.

Micke Johansson

Mikael Johansson became master glass blower when he was 24 years old. From 1988 until 2004 he worked as a glassblower in art glass workshop at Orrefors Glassworks. Since then he has been working on Pukebergs Glassworks where he has created his own glass and art glass.

Mikael Kenlind

Mikael Kenlind, born 1984 is the fifth-generation glass blower. He grew up in an energetic environment and began to be interested in the magic of the glass early. In the early years, Michael worked with Venetian master Benito Marcolin, learning the Italian way of working today which is the foundation of all art glass he manufactures and designs. He went to Benito's championship spot at Vas Vitreum as a nineteen year old. Mikael's products reflect the enormous possibilities and flexibility of the glass, often combined with inspiration from nature's colors and shapes. Clean and stripped to let the crystal clear and the beautiful colors speak. In his unique collections, Mikael works with the highly difficult techniques filigram and incalmo where patterns of thin glass wires are created directly in the Glassworks.

Lennart Nissmark

"I work with my very own personal style and touch.
Åhus, where I live and draw my inspiration from, is one of Sweden's oldest cities with a great cultural heritage and is located right by the sea, which really inspires me. What I love about glass is the experience of discovering new aspects and properties of the material. Especially working with different color contrasts and reflections in inner bubbles floating inside the glass. I started my education in 1982 as an apprentice at Studio Glashyttan in Åhus. It has been a great inspiration for me to work every day with my masters and learn the many different techniques, to become passionate about the glittering crystal and to be touched by the mystery and emotion of this wonderful material.
Glass is enchanting with its many faces and a great source of inspiration worth all the effort it takes to develop as an artist."

Roger Johansson

His interest in creating has been with him since childhood. The verbal sketch is used to shape fantastic creations. In his creativity he shapes in stylish glass, preferably with harmonious color combinations. A new idea can come at any time.
His work is characterized by a strong visual identity, where each piece is an expression of both form and emotion. Through his limited editions and one-of-a-kind pieces, he creates art glasses that serve as both decorative works of art and functional interior details.

Jan Erik Ritzman - Transjöhyttan

Jan Erik Ritzman Transjöhyttan - Jan Erik is 80 years old and is now retiring. Do not miss the opportunity to take part in Jan Erik's last work.After 65 years as a glassblower and artist, this is his last edition of art glass and unique items.
Jan-Erik Ritzman, born August 25, 1943 in Vetlanda parish, is a Swedish glass artist and glassblower.

Jan-Erik Ritzman became a glassblower in 1957 and master craftsman at Kosta in 1964, when he was 20 years old. In 1982, he opened Transjö Hytta together with Sven-Åke Carlsson, a cabin that mainly blows one-piece art glass.

Jan-Erik Ritzman has worked as an advisor abroad, including to Ngwenhge Glass in Swaziland, which started in 1979 as a SIDA-supported aid project. He has also taught in the United States at the Pilchuck Glass School in Washington State. Ritzman is represented at the National Museum in Stockholm, as well as in museums and galleries around the world, including Germany, Australia, New Zealand and

Bertil Vallien

Born in 1938, Bertil Vallien studied at Konstfack in Stockholm and continued his studies in the USA before settling in Glasriket in the early 1960s. His time at BODA involved working with both glass and forging, where he collaborated with the prominent glass artist Erik Höglund. Vallien later came to focus on glass design at Åfors and later Kosta Glassworks. His oeuvre ranges from everyday objects to monumental public works. With international awards and representation in museums around the world, he is recognized as an innovator in glass art. He is also active in artistic education at universities and design schools.

Erik Höglund

Erik Höglund(1932-1998) was a versatile artist who worked as a draughtsman, graphic artist, painter, sculptor and glass artist. He also created unique utilitarian objects in glass and wrought iron, which contributed to his significant role in Swedish 20th century art. Among his extensive production for public environments in various materials, it is mainly his efforts in art glass that have made him particularly recognized. For two decades he worked at Boda Glassworks, where his experimental style and curiosity about material combinations set a new standard for Swedish glass art. With his strong personality and broad artistic expression, he has left a lasting impression on Swedish design.

Rolf Sinnemark

Born 1941 - Glass artist, designer and silversmith with roots from Gotland. Educated in, among other things, industrial design at Konstfack. Worked with Kosta Boda during 1967-1986. In addition to designing and shaping products at many of the Småland glassworks, Rolf Sinnemark has made a number of public decorations and exhibited, both in Sweden and internationally.

Linda Isaksson

Linda Isaksson is an experienced glassblower and entrepreneur based in Piteå, Sweden. She started her career in glassblowing in 1998 at the vocational school in Orrefors and has since worked at several glassworks around Sweden.
In her work, Linda focuses on sustainability by using recycled crystal glass from other glassworks, reducing waste and energy consumption. The glass is melted down to working temperature using green electricity, which contributes to an environmentally friendly production. Her works are characterized by unique, stylish and stripped-down shapes with elements of color, inspired by the surrounding nature in Norrbotten.
Linda Isaksson is a passionate craftsman who proudly passes on a craft with thousands of years of history, combining traditional glassblowing with modern and sustainable methods, while actively contributing to the local cultural life in Piteå.

Lars Sestervik

Artists rely on the inspiration for his creative process, and Lars has always maintained that the sea is his main source of inspiration. What often is recurrent in Lars design and design are color, combined with clear crystal - often with aerodynamic lines in harmony. While Lars is an artist with a great diversity in its ever-changing form language. Lars Setervik is one of Sweden Crystal Design's most internationally recognized designers, and has been rewarded for his work with both the Norwegian Design Award, 1988/1989, and Vicke Lindstrand price 1997th

Master Michael - born 1957, is the third Master who founded the Studio Glass and has worked side by side with Leif Person, Håkan Gunnarsson, and several of the world's top designers. Michael began glassblowing already when she was 15 and got his title as champion at the age of 35. His greatest asset is his ability to create technically advanced solutions in glass. Mikael works often and often in the form of heavy, carved pieces of modernist design. His accuracy and high-end art glass has earned him several international awards, and is featured in galleries worldwide.

Ola Sivhed

Artist, illustrator and decorative painter, with exhibitions from the north to Ystad in the south as well as Europe and internationally. Schooled by the great masters, 35 years of experience as an artist, today he possesses a unique maturity as an artist, with a thirst for experimentation (see the globe next door with an engraved human heart inside the massive crystal). No one is left untouched by Ola's passionate environment interest in change, renewal and improvement itself. Master Hakan - born in 1947, began his long and successful career at the age of 14. Hakan got his title as champion even at age 24, as one of the youngest champions ever in the Kingdom of Crystal. Håkan characteristic hallmark is his skillful technique and artistic talent in his art glass. In Håkans own glass art is the form most importantly, the color should be of secondary importance. Håkan's talent for artistically advanced solutions has earned him international recognition, and his glass is recovered as corporate gifts, profile gifts and farewell gifts, and in galleries in many parts of the world.

Design Studioglas - Mäster Leif Persson

Master Leif - born in 1941. Leif Persson founded the Studio Glass along with his good friends and colleagues Master Mikael Axenbrant and Master Håkan Gunnarsson. When Leif, Michael and Hakan founded the Studio Glass was the concept to manufacture the highest quality, beautiful and exclusive art glass in Sweden. They quickly became known as "The Three Masters" for their skill, both in Sweden and internationally. Leif is currently retired, but his life's work lives on in his work, and the extensive knowledge he learned on to the new generation glass blowers and artists.

Ludvig Löfgren

Born in 1972, He is a Swedish glass artist. Ludvig Löfgren trained in art schools before he went Orrefors Glass School in the early 1990s. "Before enrolling at the Art Academy in Stockholm, worked Ludvig Löfgren as a glassblower, an experience that gave him both perspective and understanding of the glass. His constant search for challenges often results in hours of experimentation, both in the studio and in the foundry. With his extensive knowledge of glass and artistic talent, he shatters many boundaries at the Crystal Kingdom with its fine traditions. Ulrica Margaret Hydman Vallien

Born in 1938 in Stockholm.

She is primarily known for her winding snakes, tulips and wolves on glass. Bright colors and a playfulness is that often characterize her work. She is married to the well-known artist Bertil Vallien. She lives in Åfors in Småland. Ulrica Hydman went at Konstfack in Stockholm where she studied ceramics and glass. At the College of Arts, she met her future husband also Bertil Vallien who she married in September, 1963. Bertil Vallien offered later job as an artist and designer at Åfors Glassworks and both settled there. Ulrica Hydman Vallien has been a glass artist since 1972.
